TR-9007 DCT7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission

TREMEC has developed a "Family Approach" to new drivetrain products characterized by high torque applications in sports cars, SUVs and diesel vehicles that demand performance and refinement. For these markets, improvements in torque capacity, NVH, fuel efficiency and mass reduction are continually engaged to meet the Fun 2 Drive needs of the customer.

The design intent is to preserve existing vehicle packaging space for multiple OEMs – contributing to the flexible approach required for modest volume/nich segment markets. The TREMEC 900 Nm TR-9007 DCT is the lead product in this development.

The product respects the installation constraints typical for RWD applications. It is a 7-speed transmission with ratios selected so that vehicle performance and fuel efficiency targets are properly satisfied.

The use of integrated mechatronic systems allow TREMEC to leverage components and subsystems already developed and produced to optimize cost savings, reduce development resources and time, and reduce software development for common components. Shared components and subsystems include:

  • Highly efficient, virtually dry dual wet clutch

  • Planetary gerotor pump provides highly efficient system pressure and lubrication
